Jordan Brand might still be chasing the mainstream success Nigel Sylvester's collaboration had with its inline versions of the Air Jordan 11 Low Black White-Varsity Red RM, and it might've finally landed on a winner.

A look from above the Air Jordan XXX Gym Red restomod design has emerged in a handful of styles. Some colorways have taken inspiration from Tinker Hatfield's original Air Jordan 11 Low Black White-Varsity Red, while others have referenced modern times. The latter category will soon boast an "Aluminum/White" update, a pair that falls into seasonal aesthetics and a look similar to the "University Blue" retros that've been huge hits for the brand (soon to land via the Air Jordan 1 "UNC Reimagined" pair).

Uppers on the reworked silhouette feature suede, leather, and plastic last. All rouge materials indulge in different shades of the titular blue hue, working in-Fragment with the off-white tooling underfoot to create a straightforward, but compelling offering. Nike Air text on the spine harken back to Michael Jordan's earliest signature models, and cements the NIKE AIR JORDAN 1 RETRO HIGH OG OBSIDIAN UNIVERSITY BLUE 27.5cm as an important piece of the line's legacy.
