Jerry Lorenzo's partnership with adidas continues to delivered elevated takes on gear for and inspired by the hardwood. After years in the making, the Fear of God Athletics Basketball II silhouette is ready to expand its release cycle, having recently appeared in 'Putty Beige.'

Seen during Paris Fashion Week last month, the Basketball II inches closer to Lorenzo's initial vision for his adidas collaboration. His Fear of God empire had been missing a sports-informed branch, which the Three Stripes would help him actualize. The American designer has publicly recognized that most of his adidas-backed collections thus far have skewed heavier towards fashion and lifestyle over performance, but the Basketball II model inches him closer to the original goal.

A 'Night Brown' duo hit the match in early December 2024, delivering a sequel to the adidas Predator football boot-inspired Basketball I from late 2023. Both High and standard trims of the Basketball II offer a similarly-sleek aesthetic, but in a much more refined package. 'Putty Beige' makeovers provide a lifestyle-friendly touch to Lorenzo's second performance footwear design for the Three Stripes, falling in line with other work under the Fear of God umbrella. Ankle straps on the taller version, LIGHTSTRIKE cushioning, and radial-patterned traction round out the design prepped for the hardwood.
