For the second time in just over six months, musician Harry Styles has run a marathon. This time he ran a huge personal best—and broke the three-hour barrier.
On September 21, Styles finished the Berlin Marathon in 2:59:13—an average pace of 6:50 per mile. That is a strong improvement on his time of 3:24:07 (7:47 per mile) from the Tokyo Marathon, See the Calendar.
Styles, who ran under the alias “Sted Sarandos,” once again ran very even splits. He ran the first half of the race in 1:29:08, and then completed the second 13.1 miles in 1:30:06. In Tokyo, he 31-year-old paced the race with remarkable consistency, running the first half in 1:42:03, then split a nearly-identical 1:42:04 during the second half.
