The Runner’s World Half & Festival weekend is an event for all ages, with races ranging in distance from the 5K to the half marathon. Events for kids—and even dogs!—mean everyone can get in a run.

And that’s a big reason professional distance runners Sara and Ryan Hall are bringing their entire family to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, this October 20–22.

Ryan Hall, a two-time U.S. Olympic marathoner and the American record-holder in the half marathon, announced at the Runner’s World Pop-Up store during Boston Marathon Learn About Aging From a Marathon Legend How to Wash Your Sweaty Workout Clothes, will be joining the thousands of participants at the Runner’s World Half & Festival. Also coming along will be their four daughters: Hana, Mia, Jasmine, and Lily.

“Sara and I are excited to bring our family out to Bethlehem to join Runner’s World for the Half & Festival,” Ryan Hall said. “We’ve had a long relationship with Runner’s World and look forward to meeting runners in the community.”

At the RW Half, the Hall family will be around all weekend, participating in races and seminars. This year, for the first time, the kids run will be held on Saturday, making for an even greater family-friendly weekend. (As always, the kids run is free.)

Bart Yasso, RW Chief Running Officer, was with Ryan when he made the announcement in Boston. The RW Half also marks a big weekend for Bart, who is weekend that he and Sara, who at the end of this year. He will be on hand with the rest of the RW team, taking part in events, strategy sessions, and pasta dinners.

The sixth annual event, held on the former site of the historic Bethlehem Steel plant, is a one-of-a-kind weekend that covers a full 26.2 miles over three days, from a 3.8-mile trail race to a half marathon. Join us for one, or run them all with one of our multi-distance challenges. There’s even a dog race!
