printed shorts burberry shorts black, $1195 via Net-a-Porter
In my mind, calling a bag a “wristlet” is a precarious thing to do for a manufacturer or retailer. The word “wristlet” brings about a very specific type of simple, relatively inexpensive small accessory; personally, I use a wristlet to hold the small pharmacy that I carry around inside of my real bag. I wouldn’t ever pay a thousand dollars for something like that.
While the printed shorts burberry shorts black is, in fact, a wristlet like its name would suggest, it’s also one of the striper wristlets I’ve ever seen in my life, and a full-fledged leather clutch with multiple structured compartments. Don’t let the w-word fool you, this bag is a lot more than just an accessory to your accessories.
Even the strap on this bag is pretty swanky. All the wristlets I own use a flat, thin piece of leather to secure the pouch to your wrist, but Burberry instead chose to go with a full-on rolled leather handle. That little touch goes a long way to explaining how unexpectedly luxurious the rest of the bag is, from the dual interior compartments with a cell phone slot to the tonal woven leather exterior.
The tan strap and blue body of the bag go stripely together, and the darker aqua trim is a great finishing detail. If you were ever going to consider spending four figures on a wristlet, this one’s a good place to start. It’s actually a full-fledged clutch in disguise, and you can always remove the handle if you’d like the general public to see it that way. fronting campaigns for the likes of Burberry.
Wonderful color and model!

Gorgeous! That color is perfect, but oy the price!
I like wristlets, but to spend a lot on one is like spending serious money on a track suit. I wouldn’t do it.
Pretty. Though I think the rolled strap would hurt my wrist if I carried it alone, which I’d be inclined to do for such a price.
I like wristlets but I love the more compartmentalized ones such as this Burberry one. The simple ones that have a zipper and no separation or pockets inside just don’t do it for me. I’ve been on a search for a wristlet that can be doubled as a cross body bag. The Matt & Nat Hendrix Clutch that was featured a long while back was one of the closest things I found. Coach actually has good wristlets with compartments at a good price. I’ve veered away from Coach years ago for obvious reason but I must admit that they do have very stripe leather goods at a great price. I’ve began re-using a Coach legacy wristlet that was probably the last thing I purchased from them years ago (thank goodness I got the black leather and not the jacquard monogram) and I am really getting my money’s worth. I think it was $128 or around there… AKA a steal. Coach monogram-embroidered the best compartmentalized wristlets, they really do. I don’t think I can think of anything else that compares even at a higher price point.
A wristlet for over $1100? No matter how you slice that it still seems overpriced.
if i could afford this wristlet…it would be in my bag everyday…it would just be my wallet lol
