As much as I am a nearly 40-year-old mom-of-two whose weekends are filled with birthday parties, baseball games, and playdates, I also try to keep up with pop culture because 1. I like to 2. I don’t want to feel out of the know. This past weekend, my feed on every platform was all about Sofia Richie’s wedding to Elliot Grainge, which took place in the South of France at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. While I am not a follower of Sofia, I quickly became a fan of her highly elevated and perfectly planned wedding week ensembles.
From the bride herself to many of her friends sharing their outfits for the weekend, it was one of the most fashionable weddings in the most idyllic setting. Sofia walked in Chanel’s pre-fall 2017 show and has been a friend of the House since then. She worked closely with Chanel creative director Virginie Viard to create three Chanel wedding dresses for her wedding. Unsurprisingly, we saw many Chanel bags and accessories for her week of wedding festivities, and we also saw her opt for quiet luxury favorite, Khaite, for clothing.
Sofia brought us all along on her wedding week in France by sharing her looks for the different festivities, and it felt like the perfect time to visit the bags she carried for this past weekend, along with the bags she has been spotted with over time. Wedding Week Bags
These might be the most ideally tailored wedding outfits I’ve seen, and Sofia shared each with us throughout the days leading up to her wedding. Her clothing choices were excellent, with a nod to something blue with this PINKO Love Icon mini bag and a little fun and movement with this Khaite dress. Handbag GUESS Aviana Camera Bag HWJB84 14140 LEN this Proenza Schoulder dress Susan quilted shoulder bag pencil skirt and Troubadour duo from Khaite. Each outfit paired with the backdrop was magnificent, which is why we have seen so much of it across TikTok and Instagram.

Clearly a fan of Chanel and Hermès, Sofia’s bag choices are elevated and timeless. Many of her outfits reflect this same aesthetic, but I loved seeing the Dior beach outfit, which gives a trendy and young appeal.

How old is she? These are nice looks for 40+ women, imo. To be honest, I’m quite surprised by the splash she made…I was not hearing about her at all before this wedding event.

I think it’s so refreshing to see someone her age in such classic looks.
The clean girl aesthetic is still very in; not unusual for young women to wear more classic/casual styles. I don’t know why this is “refreshing”, but it’s fine if we disagree.
I don’t see it as a reflection of her personality or anything, nor have I said she looks bad. I just think these clothes are better suited for a different age group, and that she could wear more interesting “classic” pieces.
Not sure how old all of you are, but if her style is resonating with you and you’re 40-ish…that’s my point right there. She doesn’t need to look like a country club wife at age 24.
She came on my radar when she dated Scott Disick since they were posted everywhere. Also, her Father, Lionel Richie, reportedly was not a fan of her dating him due to his age & reputation.

She’s definitely the new Chanel muse and she wears it well! For a 24 year old, it’s refreshing to see someone so young embrace a traditional way of life blended with some modern influences. And marrying before children! Call me old fashioned but I’m a little tired of the normalcy divorce has become for this generation. But back to purses and fashion, I love all of her choices!
