Every so often, I share with you that I’ve been influenced. I have worked in this space (blogger/creator/influencer) since its inception, and it doesn’t change the fact that we crave human connection. That is in talk, text, and reliability. Now, this can be prefaced with my closet, which has many bags that fit many categories and needs, not one of which is a wooden beaded bag. I understand no one needs a wooden beaded bag in their collection, but I need it at this point in my life.
I will always turn back to my love for pouches, because any bag like this will rely on poches for interior security, but I’d like to imagine myself kicking off my summer just like Leonie, instead of being on the couch with my one sick child, other in the throws of the last week of school and every activity that comes with that, in long overdue for the trash sweats.
Beaded Beauty Bag
The Le 5 À 7 quickly became iconic for the house of YSL. As with other cornerstone lines, this one has been expanded upon with additional sizes, materials, colors, and seasonal variations. I’ve always liked the bag; Kaitlin reviewed hers Saint Laurent MEN SHIRTS CASUAL. As a larger bag girl myself, I was more intrigued by the more sizable options, and then this wooden beaded version was revealed, and I was hooked.
As I said earlier, a pouch is a necessity with a bag like this, and YSL thought of that and already offers an inner zip pouch along with a tab closure. This bag works well for summer and tropical travels, intended to be the statement allotment of your ensemble and an item that will get people talking.
The beads come together in a floral-like, or even T-shaped pattern, intricately placed to create a mesmerizing motif. The interior pouch is crafted from calfskin and has bronze-toned hardware to complete the design. Overall dimensions are 11.8″ x 13.8″ x 3.9″ with a 10.2″ drop.
While not a necessity or even very practical, a bag like this is precisely why I come back to my love for bags. It will still work to carry my items, and it does so by becoming a talking point. A connection for me to the next bag lover who will appreciate the rarity of this bag and the playful aspect as well.

Another Fun Option
It’s certainly unique and I can see its appeal, but not for me mostly due to the price.
For a better price point, the new beaded bag by Polene is a good alternative. The coated plastic seems durable and the bag is eye catching!
