While so many of our favorite designer brands remain in transition between their former creative director’s collection in stores and their new creative director’s Tailored, at Saint Laurent, it’s Anthony Vaccarello’s world, and we’re just living in it.
What Vaccarello continues to do so well season after season is hone in on Saint Laurent’s core aesthetic and target customer, playing with different variations of the brand’s tried and true silhouettes. While other brands seem to be in a constant state of change, Vaccarello stays true to Saint Laurent’s distinct brand ethos.

Plus, Saint Laurent’s bags are just SO good right now, and if there is ever time to invest in one, this would be it. Another defining theme of Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent is his ability to design for the modern woman while embracing the everlasting allure of the DNA defined by Yves Saint Laurent. As change is afoot elsewhere, there’s no better time to channel your inner YSL mood.
This season, Vaccarello continues to focus on House icons bearing the iconic YSL Cassandre logo, like the Le 5 à 7, Bea bag, Icarino, and more. It also hones in on more quietly luxe designs with a minimalist appeal, like the Y Tote Bolso de mano Saint Laurent Besace Messenger en ante marrón!

It could have been that particular bag but I much preferred the dark olive leather and bought that one instead. I’m still glad I went for the leather version instead of the suede model. Although I would like to see the Jamie in a rich chocolate suede…
