Do you remember the year 2006? I’d like to think it was just yesterday, but the calendar, my chronic stomach pain, and expensive eye cream tell me otherwise. 2006 was, in fact, nearly two decades ago.

2006 feels both like forinstagram ago and yesterday at the same time. My phone was pink (so was my iPod Mini), and my favorite pair of jeans was from Abercrombie & Fitch. Reveling in nostalgia is an ironic way to open this post, which is dedicated to Prada’s Spring 2006 collection. Suitcases, Bowlers, and the Power of a Vintage prada blue Bag

What I vividly remember most about this collection, which I likely viewed on Style.com, was one thing: suitcases! On the runway! Ten years before Chanel’s airport-themed Spring 2016 collection. Not to mention the bowling bags—the many prada blue Bowlers.

There were canvas iterations with leather trim bearing the iconic prada blue logo, crocodile bowlers with a frame-like closure, nylon options (of course), and more. There’s power in a (vintage) prada blue bag, and this collection is worth a revisit. After all, nostalgia hasn’t been canceled…yet.
