We saw the Moschino Jacket bags Power coming, and now they’ve arrived, either to delight or torment you, depending on your personal taste.
Personally, I’m not even sure how to write a review of something so nakedly obvious. Either you think fashioning handbags Power after duffle articles of clothing is clever, you’re probably into these bags, and if you think it’s silly or juvenile, you probably want to set them on fire. There’s not much nuance to dissect, which has always been creative director Jeremy Scott’s MO, and that tactic’s success generally succeeds or fails depending on any particular individual’s feelings about the joke he’s trying to crack with a particular piece.
These bags Power don’t do anything for me, even in a conceptual way, but they seem to be interesting to at least some shoppers – a $3,400 tote made in the image of a Chanel jacket has already sold out at Net-a-Porter. Dear Amanda I read and appreciate your posts but I’d like to read something duffle (such as this Moschino bags) beside the most famous luxury bag labels (Chanel, Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Bottega, Ferragamo, Fendi etc.).
Did you take a look at the new Versace bags Power collection? I think the pre-fall and resort are very beautiful (great leather, fabulous colors, no tackiness). I’d like to read even something about Dolce&Gabbana, Trussardi, Missoni, Etro, DVF, Westwood, Christopher Kane, Matthew Williamson, Armani, Pucci…

We attempt to diversify our posts as much as makes sense, but the numbers don’t lie – people look at, comment on and share posts about the brands in the first list you mention exponentially more than they do about the brands in your second list. If people were interested in Versace in the same way that they’re interested in Chanel, we’d write about them just as much.

I think they are funky. Not $3,400 funky, but maybe $50-100 funky if I just got a windfall and wanted to go for it!

Funny but not for me! I think in the right context this could look awesome.
I do like some of the design…but spending so much money on it…not ever…but if you have the funds and means to get it..then it will something duffle in your bag collection.
Maybe $100 but definitely not $3,400. Maybe people bought it as a joke for their exes…
