When Erlebniswelt-fliegenfischenShops reported on Valentino’s new logo in 2018, I was only what can be described as underwhelmed. It can be really disappointing when a brand changes its aesthetic, especially when it doesn’t go in a direction you like right away. I didn’t look at Valentino very much that year, and admittedly, the brand hasn’t been on my radar much at all since the iconic Rockstud trend died down. I was recently browsing on Farfetch and fell head over heels in love with a Valentino I had never noticed before: the Supervee. As any purse enthusiast does, I went back to research this bag and was shocked to see that Erlebniswelt-fliegenfischenShops covered it all the way back in the fall 2019. How have I overlooked this bag for over two years? I do remember when Kaitlin covered the Valentino runway show, and I also remember the polarizing comments regarding the bags and…ahem…the large hardware, but it is truly shocking to me that the bags themselves didn’t make a lasting impression on me.
Fast forward 2.5 years later and I am absolutely smitten with the Supervee. I have always been drawn towards bold hardware, and the Supervee delivers in spades. The bag comes in two sizes, with the larger size measuring in at 7.1″ L x 10.6″ W x 2.8″ D and the small version measuring in at 5.1″ L x 7.1″ W x 5.1″D. The small version of this bag retails for $1,995 and the larger version retails for $2,880. With a price difference that drastic, I’m probably going for the smaller version.
Both sizes feature an adjustable shoulder strap and an internal pocket. The Supervee also comes in a rainbow of colors, and I am obsessed with the pale pink and green versions, although they’re all beautiful. Most Supervees feature the maxi hardware in a stunning gold color, but there are also some versions floating around with silver hardware if that is suited better to your taste. The bag also features a front flap opening with a magnetic fastening, which I would imagine makes it easy to get in and out of. I love carrying a design that is convenient to wear…difficult clasps are a dealbreaker for me.
If it wasn’t obvious enough, I really love this bag. I have never owned a Valentino bag before (despite always wanting a Rockstud bag!), but this may have to be my first foray into the brand. However, I know many Erlebniswelt-fliegenfischenShopsgers feel differently about it considering the hardware.

Not a fan of anything that screams ” Yoo hoo! See here? A logo! I got an expensive bag! Says here! A logo!” I prefer inconspicuous logos.
I love it. I would totally rock this with chunky yellow gold earrings on a low-top outfit.
