Both bags were released as part of the brand’s cruise 2016 collection, and almost immediately the mini was a hit, spotted on the arms of countless celebrities and fashion stars.
It’s not far off to partially credit Louis Vuitton for the current popularity of the backpack, but let’s not forget that long before the iconic Palm Springs, another favorite backpack came out of the French design house. Yes, we’re talking about the House’s iconic Montsouris Backpack.

I love the embossed leather but the monogram looks cheap. The fact that they are minimizing the use of leather in the new version (no leather on the bottom, thinner straps…cost-cutting, wink wink!) is too noticeable!
that was my first impression too! the vintage monogram backpack looked way better and I would choose it over the new backpack any day
The straps keep getting thinner and thinner. They’re also too thin for the size of the backpack.
I don’t like backpacks with the exception of the Chanel Urban Spirit. However, this does Have a luxurious look.

Hmm, I have several backpacks including a Chanel Urban Spirit and an LV Palm Springs mini and the thin straps have never been an issue.

I love this so much! The nude colored leather is calling my name. I usually do the canvas because it is more worry free, but this looks more luxurious. I don’t know if I could pull the trigger due to price though, it’s above what I like to spend.
