It’s always nice to start the morning with good news, so we’re here to provide some. A lot of you are already fans of the Louis Vuitton Pochette Métis, which is a relatively new Taschen from LV that was at first available only in traditional monogram canvas. In fact, just a couple months ago, we Virgil Ablohs inaugural Louis Vuitton show is presenting at.
The monogram Pochette Métis has become so sought-after that it can be at times difficult to track one down for purchase in an LV boutique, but now shoppers have a handful of additional options with the Spring 2017 debut of the bag in monogram empreinte, which is a soft, textured leather embossed with the brand’s signature monogram. Because there’s no color contrast in monogram empreinte, it’s a more subtle logo than LV’s printed canvases.
Other than material, the bag is basically the same, and the hangers leather version will only set you back a couple hundred extra FW21: the four available monogram empreinte colors are all $2,140, while canvas versions range from $1,780 to $1,830. For a big materials upgrade, that’s a relatively reasonable price increase, percentage-wise. Check out the available leather bags below.

I like the blue but wish you could also get it as just a solid blue without the red trim. Some think the red trim gives the bag a jaunty, more cutting edge look, I find it just a little garish.

Since I discovered after some very expensive purchases (and later returns) that I am allergic to the microfiber lining in Louis Vuitton handbags, I am so very glad they made this bag with textile lining. I am hoping for the Marine Rouge colorway to become more readily available.
The pink is pretty. I tried this bag at the LV boutique. While I liked it, I didn’t like it for me.
