The collection as a whole was unique because it featured both slightly more baroque and less wearable designs than what we’ve seen from Ghesquière in the past, as well as more wearable silhouettes.
Monogram was largely featured throughout the collection in the brand’s traditional canvas, but fans were also introduced to a fresh monogram print. This new monogram motif was spotted on mini bags and more, and now with the release of the brand’s Louis Vuitton Alize travel bag in brown monogram canvas we have a further look at Louis Vuitton’s newest monogram collection. Introducing: the Since 1854 line.
Nicolas Ghesquière’s newest line of bags Business a ton of the brand’s most beloved silhouettes such as the Keepall, Dauphine, Speedy, Pochette Metis and more. In Monogram jacquard, the bags give off a vintage vibe, which is incredibly of the moment. This new, but seemingly old, jacquard Business an interesting mix of Monogram flowers, and the number ‘1854’, which is the House’s founding date. The aptly named collection is a refined twist on multiple classic motifs from the Maison. Largely featured throughout the new campaign, the 1854 line is a big push for the brand this season, featured on RTW, shoes and accessories in addition to the bags mentioned above.

I LOVE the black and white design but sadly it’s fabric. I don’t but fabric bags. Has to be leather or coated canvas for durability. Unfortunate because this is really beautiful.

I love it, especially the black. It is 1854. That is the year Louis Vuitton started by making luggage and these bags have that carpet bag look. If you think about all the purses, they are really all small pieces of luggage!! I am currently obsessed with the damier azur neverfull but I would love one of these black bags to carry!!

Change the LV to an MK and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. LV will forever be the brand that suburban mom’s flock to because it gives them a sense of superiority when they’re carrying the one LV bag they have, which is usually a neverfull, around the grocery store.

It reminds me of Denim Monogram and Mini Lin. While I wouldn’t buy one because I’m not a logos person, I appreciate when legacy brands launch new combinations and models.
