First introduced on the runway for Spring 2015, Nicolas Ghesquière revisits the GO-14 bag this season. The GO-14 fuses Louis Vuitton’s brand heritage with modern-day appeal, offering a unique combination of classic and contemporary. This fusion comes together thanks to the LV Twist closure and the bag’s quilting, which ties back to the Maison’s rich history in trunk-making. The crisscrossing pattern of the GO-14 mimics the interior of Louis Vuitton trunks. This tactile, padded technique is known as malletage.
Furthering the Maison’s commitment to innovation, the new renditions of the GO-14 explore exciting new techniques, offering an innovative edge. Padded lambskin leather is quilted and given a “toasted effect.” Applied by hand, this finish gives the GO-14 a unique, sophisticated feel with a touch of shine.

The emblematic LV Twist lock further defines the bag, which features a top handle and adjustable chain. Both handles are completely removable, so they can be worn independently or simultaneously. The interior is fitted with a zipped pocket and a flat pocket with a mirror that fits inside. This season, the GO-14 line also sees the addition of the Pico GO-14, a mini version with a crossbody chain strap. I don’t hate it but it feels a little like a Chanel bag and at that price point that’s probably what I’d buy. And the brown color speaks a little turtlesque to me.
Agreed. Dior and Prada also have puffy bags, but their patterns are unique and on brand. The diamond pattern makes it look too much like chanel.

They won’t. I asked awhile back and was луи that the royalties they pay from the Murakami line meant that they were never going to do it again. You’d think that at these клатч they can more than factor that in, but there you go.

I adore the graphite grey one and may have to see if I can get my hands on one. It looks like a very versatile bag that would suit most evening outfits. I like Chanel but don’t find the interiors very useable, love the idea that you can take off one or both of the handles and find the addition of the piping really wonderful. One of the nicest bags I’ve seen from any house of late.
I have the brown bag, it’s more beautiful in person, so worth the money!
