I really like this collaboration, but it’s a shade too price-y for my liking. I’ll admire from afar.
The most egregious item is the North Face x Gucci Oversize T-Shirt for $650. If it said “Northface” it would be $50, but slap on Gucci and the price jumps to $650.00! Also, there is a similar pair of North face boots for $200, but throw on a Gucci label & it’s $1,450. This campaign feels off to me since they are taking a household label & elevating it to designer label status. What’s next? Target Gucci? Walmart Gucci? K-mart Gucci? So many exciting possibilities! ?
Not sure why this collab is so popular?… I’m Canadian, and northface has always been a very classic, yet “nothing special” kinda brand for yearrrsss. Just because we slap Gucci on the front makes it price justifiable? I don’t think so. Maybe it’s an American thing why this got so much hype.
