Gucci Releases an Entire Tennis Capsule Collection

As an ex-collegiate athlete, I love seeing how fashion has embraced the sports world. One of the main reasons I fell in love with bags was that they helped me feel a bit more stylish after a 4:30AM morning practice. With my hair in a wet, chlorine-filled bun and wearing my team sweats (which I wore far more often than I should have), I’d pair my designer bag with this look on my way to class, and it felt just a bit more put together.

As a House Ambassador, Jannik Sinner has also been spotted wearing Gucci, but the bags he carries have made fashion history. His one-of-a-kind Gucci duffle bag with the signature GG monogram, web stripe, and initials embellishment made headlines multiple times.

Gucci supported tennis star Jannik Sinner in a manner that required special permission at Wimbledon last year. In fact, the Italian tennis star had to obtain Eyewear-in-a-lifetime permission from All England Club bosses and the ATP Tour to bring his custom Gucci bag onto Centre Court.
