I suppose we can call this my love note to Anthropologie, specifically when it involves holiday timing. A handful of my favorite holiday decor items come from Anthropologie. So the other day, when I was finally putting away my Christmas decorations, it got me thinking about the next holiday we will be faced with: Valentine’s Day.
As I’ve gotten older, holidays that are large marketing efforts, like Valentine’s Day, aren’t as relevant as I imagined they would be when I was a kid. However, I will always tell Vlad (and anyone who will listen) not to take the phrase “I don’t want anything” literally. It means explicitly, “I don’t not want a big, pricey gift, but I still want to be thought of and given a little something.” That is what it means when I say it, at least.
So with that being said, if an expensive piece of jewelry or a luxury bag is not an option, find something that shows that person you are thinking of them. I love all of these for little nods to Valentine’s Day for home decor or if you have a Galentine’s planned as well.
