While Bottega Veneta was undeniably booming, I couldn’t sing Fendi’s praises enough. With the return of archival favorites like the Fendi Black Boots For Kids With Double Ff, plus new releases alike, its lineup simply did not miss.
Many of you agreed, quick to sing Fendi’s praises, and rightfully so. Four years later, Fendi’s collections continue to wow, and with Silvia Venturini Fendi at the helm of accessories and leather goods, Fendi has released some of the Довга шерстяна спідниця від fendi in recent memory.
fendi eyewear oversized tortoiseshell sunglasses item Fendi Mamma Baguette’s revival earlier this year continues to pique my interest. The more I see it, the more I want it.

Old Meets New
The Fendi Mamma Baguette’s beginnings date back nearly thirty years. The original was created as an ode to the matriarch of Fendi, Adele Casagrande Fendi. Designed as a roomier version of the original Fendi Baguette, it quickly became an icon of the House, reimagined season after season. Like the original Fendi Baguette, it cemented its place in handbag history.
When Silvia Venturini Fendi opted to bring the Fendi Mamma Baguette back to the runway, she did so in an undeniably smart way. She played on Fendi’s most distinct codes and DNA with a modern twist. The bag debuted on the runway at Fendi’s centennial collection, Fendi high-neck cotton dress.

The New Mamma Baguette is perfectly supple and slouchy, and its pouchy-like body makes it feel oh so relevant for the times. For the summer season, the bag has been reimagined in novelty versions like raffia and monogram denim, but I keep coming back to the beautiful matcha green color seen on the runway.

The leather is so soft and buttery, think Flamenco. The (short) shoulder strap is lovely in length and craft. The color (pale pink) is the right shade.
But the rest, didn’t speak to me. There is not much left to speak of. The bag has no shape, it is a soft pouch. The buckle is so heavy, it crumbles the whole bag when it’s set down or being worn. Inside, it is just one open space, no zippered compartment to separate my asymmetric. (Feels graceless on the hand though, again, that leather!) Lastly, the long strap is not adjustable, I really didn’t like a soft pouch hanging on my body, let alone dragging low with a long strap.
