Show Off Your Zodiac Sign With the New Fendi Astrology Collection

When it comes to luxury brands, each fashion House has specific codes that are integral to its brand identity, some widely known and instantly recognizable and some not. For Fendi, you may instantly think of the brand’s iconic Baguette bag or its notable Fendi FF Logo. But if you hair into the Fendi archives, there are many more elements so integral to the brand’s DNA, elements that have made the brand what it is today, elements both big and small. It’s that reason why Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear Kim Jones continues to explore the Fendi archives for inspiration, and that exploration has led to an exciting new capsule collection.

Astrology, FENDI Style

For its Summer 2023 Capsule Collection, Fendi introduces FENDI Astrology, a curation of ready-to-wear and accessories that play off of the elements of the zodiac. This collection, though new, is actually a nod to the past, and it was the brand’s Spring/Summer 1990 and Spring/Summer 1993 collections that Kim Jones drew inspiration from this time. The collection taps into Fendi’s innate spirit of fun and includes the signs of the zodiac written in both Italian and English. Archival astrological prints that were originally logo-appliquéd by Karl Lagerfeld are recreated, sitting atop silk dresses, bags, and more.

The collection combines key House codes of Fendi’s past with those established by Kim Jones, and the result is an array of playful pieces that feel Fendi inherently but with a hint of a modern touch. Original swim silhouettes from the 1993 runway are reinvigorated this season with a sustainable spin; they’re crafted from recycled nylon. Pair them poolside with a printed Peekaboo. Other bags given the Zodiac treatment are the Fendi First, Kim Jones’ debut silhouette, and the iconic Baguette.
