Milan Fashion Week kicked off with a bang thanks to Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini, and the House of Fendi. That bang came in the form of a beautiful collection of ready-to-wear pieces inspired by the archives but reimagined for today.
Exploring an easy approach to dressing, the collection was full of fluidity, with pieces like long dresses in a pretty palette of blues and yellows juxtaposed with color-blocked silhouettes that were inspired by the Fendi Spring/Summer 1999 collection. Imagined with the idea that the ultimate luxury is comfort, pieces showed an air of quiet confidence.

The bags possess that same feel. On the runway, we spotted Fendi’s most iconic House staples, like the Baguette and the Peekaboo, Sunglasses FENDI FF 0436 G S Brown 09Q Fendi First and the brand new Origami bag. These House staples, both new and old, are reimagined in new proportions and materials.
Meanwhile, a new silhouette is introduced this season, and it is suede tote, suede clutch. Carried by hand, models toted the new Fendi Flip bag in an array of colorful options. When carried folded over, a big embossed F, framed by Fendi’s famed Selleria stitching, takes center stage. View all the bags from the runway below, all images courtesy of Fendi.
