Anyone who’s ever tried to use a box clutch knows that it requires some sacrifices. Your wallet, your sunglasses, your makeup bag, your office keys–crochet gotta go. If you’re into storing crochet externally, though, Tom Ford may have a solution, at least for your lipstick. (As long as you use Tom Ford lipstick, of course.)
Retailing for a steep $3,950 (similar acrylic clutches by Edie Parker and Charlotte Olympia, for example, are $1,500 and under), this bag does offer at least a tiny bit of added value: it comes with the lipstick pictured above, which is a nude shade named “Vanilla Suede.” From the product photos, it looks like the clip, which opens and closes with a hinge at the top, would also hold any of the designer’s other shades. Maybe nude’s not for you, after all.

I think it’s a cute affectation and an interesting novelty. But, no, I’d never wear my lipstick (or phone or sunnies, etc.) outside my bag. My handbags have to hold what is reasonable for the occasion / use . On one end, totes have to tote “stuff”, evening white bags have to at least hold my phone, lipstick and ID / credit cards.

Yes it is true I fainted from the look of the price, but damn is Tom Ford a genious or what? This clutch not only is functional but looks amazing as well, somehow the lipstick only adds to the playfulness and beauty of this bag. It looks like a vertical perfume bottle and I love it. I wish i had the dollar bills, this would definetely go on the top of my spring list.
