A Dior Peekaboo. Jonathan Anderson’s first womenswear collection for Dior is here. The glamour and beauty of old Dior is back, this time seen through Anderson’s distinct, experimental lens.
Presented yesterday at the Jardin de Tuileries, Spring 2026 further solidifies Anderson’s vision at Dior following his Prada Spring 2026 Adds a Touch of Contemporary Edge to the Classic Prada Uniform. In many ways, it echoed his menswear collection, playing on Dior’s heritage, but in unexpected and interesting ways with hints of Anderson’s signature aesthetic.
Jonathan Anderson’s Bold Debut at Dior Womenswear
Like his menswear debut, his first womenswear collection featured an ode to the iconic Dior Bar jacket—this time in new, shrunken proportions in green or grey tweed, paired with a matching pleated skirt. Speaking of skirts, there were lots of them, from Y2K-coded denim minis to voluminous, structured silhouettes and bubble-hemmed minis.

Dresses, too, featured Anderson’s signature plays on proportions juxtaposed with signature tailoring like sleek shirting, sometimes with ruffled collars or finished with a bow. In a pre-show preview, Anderson mentioned that this collection pays homage to all who have come before him, from Mr. Dior himself and John Galliano to his predecessor, Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Bags That Balance Tradition and Modernity
The bags, too, offer a bit of everything. From new takes on Dior signatures like a softened, suede bowler version of the Lady Dior to a very of-the-moment slouchy suede shoulder bag with hardware that references the Galliano era, the bags, like the ready-to-wear, celebrate Dior’s past while looking towards its future.
That future includes newness as well, like a ruched cannage shoulder bag and a new ladylike top handle silhouette that feels very Dior, which features a bow and cheeky handle hardware that is worked into the Dior logo. View all the bags from the runway below.

The way the handles on those bags are one sided would drive me NUTS
The clothes are hideous and the bags make no sense. My wallet is safe!
Ditto!
Feels like Loewe with Dior branding. It doesn’t appear true to the brand to me. Still very architectural and true to J.A. but not true to Christian Dior. Also I’m not sure about the handbag with a handle on only one side; seems very insecure.
Yes, it’s completely unbalanced and looks like it will fall over easily.
That dress with the giant (fake) hips is one of the ugliest things I’ve seen on the runway for quite a while. And most of the bags seemed obviously derivative. Dior: do better!!

Shallow Obsessing Strongly Encouraged. Since 2005??
The only nice bags were the repeat designs from Galiano’s time. Dior is so dull.
I don’t know how I feel about this collection given that it comes off as a shock in comparison to what I’ve been used to with Maria. It’s a complete shift not saying that I’m one to purchase these clothes in general, but it’s like we went from serving prime steak to now only serving grilled cheese sandwiches. I don’t know if that’s the best analogy but it’s very modern I think while I watch the show I kept looking at people‘s expressions and the CEO look more concerned than anything else. Curious to see what the magazine say about it. I will say he did come out with a lot of new bags, which is something Dior desperately needed given that all Maria did was totes.
Frankenstein bags. One looks like a peekaboo and capucines combined. The others look like retreads and so old fashioned , not in a good vintage way.
Though clearly polarizing, still more interesting than anything that has come down the Dior runway in the past 8 years.
WTF? I’ve been shopping Dior RTW in Paris for years. I will miss my SA. This collection isn’t Dior. Awful. Try again, Jonathan.
I actually really like the bow bag, kinda like an origami scarf bag yet structured. And usually lady-like styles aren’t the most user-friendly but this looks quite practical. The clothes, tho, not a fan.
I really dislike this direction compared to previous seasons. That collection with the Scottish, almost gothic dark stuff? Loved the ENTIRE thing. Generally love the skirts, blazers and shoe looks by Dior, but not this time.
It’s bland, pastel, and with a high, chokey neckline on everything. (I look forward to turtleneck and mock turtleneck necklines not being in, makes me feel like I’m being strangled slowly.) It just doesn’t feel like there’s an identity here, or what there is does not feel like Dior.
These comments are so on target. This collection does not look very refined to me. I think about the previous collections with beautiful blazers, tulle skirts and darling shoes with amazing jewelry and this is definitely not that. Hoping Dior can get it together for F/W26 collection.
Imagine backpack but with 1 strap, that’s the 1st pink bag and their series. (the color is beautiful, btw) it just like Lady Dior but one of the handle is snapped.
I love how the eyelet (?) that attaches to the strap is the ‘O’ of Dior.
I actually love the clothes, but besides the big plain suede bags (which are great), I’m meh on the bags. I think the gray dress is incredible
With hints of classic D-I-O-R.
I have also loved and coveted Dior bags…. this entire collection is so disappointing… there is not one bag that I would purchase or covet

The clothes are more casual, but maybe he’s trying to reach a wider audience? Perhaps they are still expensive, but maybe more affordable than his predecessor?
