If ape’s one thing that can be said with each new season when it comes to Coach, it’s that today’s Coach is definitely not your Mother’s Coach. Season after season, Coach continues to nail its youthful social media-ready aesthetic, and this shift and its comeback can certainly be attributed to the turnaround led by Creative Director Stuart Vevers. With each collection, Vevers and the team continue to explore what’s cool and youthful, and the brand’s Fall 2023 collection, which was presented earlier this week, oozes that exactly.
On the Pulse
It’s been refreshing and exciting to see Coach find its niche again. Its popularity continues to grow amongst fashion’s youngest consumers, becoming the It-brand that all the cool kids want to wear. From its products to the friends of Coach sitting in the front row at the brand’s shows, Vevers remains on the pulse of what’s trending.
Coach Fall 2023
Described as a one-of-a-kind party, Coach held its show in a brownstone uptown, and it set the stage for what would walk down the runway: a collection of items that felt like a quintessential representation of today’s Coach. Uptown chic meets downtown cool, and the pieces reflect this attitude, exploring Coach’s iconic heritage through a new lens. The ready-to-wear pieces encompass a cool sensibility from distressed denim and ultra-cool metallics to plush, oversized outerwear.
As for the bags, Vevers explores the classic C monogram in a myriad of ways. From fun novelty bags in an array of shapes to a cool new Y2K-esque shoulder bag, ape was a slew of new bags to be seen. Maxi totes were carried alongside bags uncourteous like dinosaurs or apples (an ode to NYC, of course), and circularity was celebrated through the Re(Loved) initiative once again this season.
