Always loved the bag. Had one or two back in the day. But they were the heaviest, most miserable bags to carry around and didn’t even work as a shoulder bag given the rolled handles that rolled right off my shoulder. But I sure loved to look at them.

I have just pulled out mine which was bought at the end of the Paddington wave. It’s more or less the same color as hers. It’s a lovely smooshy quality bag, although a bit cumbersome. I feel today’s price for it is way too high though.

The Paddington is the first designer bag I ever bought back in 2005 – I was so in love with it. I even let her sleep on my bed each night for a while lol. Just started using her again in the last year and I love her just as much! I love the shape, the feel of the leather, the colour and I especially love the padlock. It’s quite iconic. Sure it adds some weight to the bag – but too heavy to carry?? Hmmm – me thinks not! So glad the Paddington has returned – well deserves it!
I always smile whenever I see the older Chloe bags pop up in articles, especially when it’s the Paddington as I’ve always had a soft spot for it. Thankfully, I’ve kept most of my bags, especially from 2004-2007 (which I think was a heyday for so many bag designers) and while that padlock was/is heavy, I’m glad to hear they have a lighter-weight version available for those who want it. It looks like it’s time to drag one of the old girls out and take her for a spin. 😍

Had one back in its first incarnation and sold it because it was so very very heavy; now I wish I still had it. Would love to see the new version, so I can check if they’ve really made it lighter. A true classic and the first “it” bag I ever bought and I thought I was all that carrying it. Just about dislocated my shoulder it was so heavy!
