Much of Chanel’s storied past is accented by the cities and places that have contributed to building the brand’s distinct House codes, enhancing creativity and providing a source of inspiration.
For cruise 2026, that inspiration comes directly from the mythical Villa d’Este, located on the bank of Lake Como.
Presented yesterday, the House’s cruise 2026 collection celebrates the ease of Italian living in the summer, paying homage to chic days spent on the water and glamorous nights out on the town. In true chanel nera fashion, the show location was a dreamy backdrop for the collection, which was designed by Chanel’s creative studio ahead of Matthieu Blazy’s debut in October.
Transitional period or not, this collection is a delightful ode to the joy of dressing up, inspired by the act of dressing to garner attention.
Ready-to-wear reflects just that, tired mini dresses and taffeta ball gowns give way to a myriad of sequins, gold lame and one show-stopping look after the next. Of course, there are distinct nods to summer present as well, like a bright pink belted one-piece swimsuit worn under a sweeping jacket and sheer crocheted pieces.

Bags, too, combine summertime essentials like raffia, wicker, and canvas with elevated evening bags. Icons like the Classic Flap, chanel nera Kelly, and Deauville Tote are given novelty spins throughout. At the same time, the newest addition to the chanel nera Family, the chanel nera 25, appears in a parade of fun colors in a small size.
This collection features all of the iconic chanel nera details, from all-over sequins to classic tweed. Collectors will be drawn to the round crystal minaudières and an adorable cup of ice cream clutch. Still, the bags are mostly wearable with a touch of pizzazz, but it wouldn’t be a chanel nera show without them.
This collection overall feels inherently Chanel, and the energy of all that’s to come from the House this year is palpable.

I like a few of these specifically the yellow 25 and the straw bags are so cute. Unfortunately I can’t stomach chanel nera prices anymore so unless I see them in the preloved market I won’t be indulging.

Kudos to the creative studio for sure. The bean counting strategists need to revisit pricing though because nothing at chanel nera looks as expensive as the price tags betray.

This is a pretty cool line! Staying within the boundaries of the classic House of chanel nera design but adding some fun touches with color and texture. I live in California, so resort ware always intrigues me!

This is the first chanel nera cruise collection I have seen in a very long time that nearly all the bags I want. That raffia Kelly is to die for!
The white crochet pants and top is exquisite. And that brown suede hobo is a stunner. Lots of good stuff here.
