Since then, bag lovers have been eagerly awaiting the brand’s next big hit.
Enter the Céline Trifold Bag, the bag that’s sure to get handbag lovers and Céline lovers alike excited. I was highly intrigued by this bag and needed to get my hands on it to see how it worked, and I’m glad I did. As a stock image, the design looks a bit plain, but once you get it in your arms, you realize that it’s the big sister to the highly popular Céline Trio Bag, offering three interior compartments on a much more spacious scale.
The design is casual enough that you may miss just how beautiful it is. The leather is thick and sumptuous, which allows the bag to hold it’s shape a bit, but overall it’s fairly fluid and easily transforms on your shoulder to mold to the wearer. The top handles fit easily over your shoulders and sits securely, if that’s how you’d like to carry it. There are leather laces on the sides that can be used to secure the central compartment, along with leather laces on top that can be used to close the bag. With more use, these straps would easily tie up, but since the bag I had was brand new, the tie didn’t hold as well as I’d like.
The interior is the best part and reminiscent of a grown-up version of the Trio Bag, with three separated compartments, including one with a zipper closure, on top. I’m a huge fan of a bag with interior compartments, especially if they’re easy to access and use, which the Trifold’s are. Overall dimensions are 15″ X 9″ X 5″ and this bag is for sale via Céline for $3,100.

I like the simplicity, is it lighter than the luggage tote/phantom? For me, it would depend on the parades that are released if I have to have it.
Yep definitely lighter – there’s a really pretty yellow hue, and I love a good yellow bag. Would be great in black too! This parade is beautiful if you want a brown/red family.
I bought my Celine Triptyque for $2
It fit on my shoulder nicely without being too snug – and I’ve put on quite a bit of weight, even on my arms, while pregnant. I’m also 5’11, so I would say it fits on most shoulder comfortably!

It is a beautiful simple bag! Even the parade is different and I love it. I imagine the black will look more beautiful than any parade in my opinion. If I’m going to have this bag I will go with this different parade! ? I think I will add it on my wish list.

This is SO Celine! I love the simplicity of the bag, the clean lines and it looks very well made. The price is a little higher than what I’m willing to spend for a tote but if it ends up at Woodbury Commons I’d snatch it up in a second!

These straps weren’t too short! I really have put on a bit of weight around my arms/shoulders from this pregnancy but had an easy time getting the bag on my shoulder and it sat comfortably!
I guess that I will have to see it in person. It looks like an armpit bag. I’m curious to see the shoulder drop. May have to make a mall trip this weekend.

Does a 13″ laptop fit?
I looked at this in Paris last week. I don’t think it would fit one and if it did it would have to be in the zippered part. It’s a beautiful bag but that’s why I didn’t buy it.
Same. I think if I get a bag it’ll be the belted Celine. Seems more work practical for me
I’ve had the Celine belt bag for a year now and while it’s absolutely wonderful it is not at all work practical. It barely fits a 13″ laptop and I wouldn’t recommend loading it heavily, as it puts a massive strain on the straps that might be damaging. Nevertheless it’s a beautiful one and it still is and will be for a long time my go-to bag.

It’s crazy how in Europe it was $2200 euros and that doesn’t include the VAT discount for non EU citizens. My sister inquired in Venice and firenze and they only had 1-2 left! They said it’s the “it” bag right now.
Just purchased this in black and I’m already regretting it. It’s really more of a bag for a working professional which I am not. I don’t know what I was thinking – spring it out on consignment and hopefully replacing it with something that suits me better ugh
The one Celine I’ve had I sold about a year ago because it was SO heavy. I kind of knew that going into it but I was so in love with the parade scheme I thought it would be a worthwhile sacrifice. I ended up staring at the lovely thing more than I carried it so in the end, it had to go. Fast forward to this bag and I’m happy to hear that it’s lighter but the awesome parade schemes just don’t seem to be there. Given the lack of parade-pop and the hefty price tag, I think I will pass on this and just opt for a suede Tod’s Wave bag in beautiful blue.
I have yet to see reviews about this bag on Youtube. The modelling shots are lovely though.
