Modernity Meets House History
Gemelli is described as a versatile design, embracing both duality and volume; the bag’s modern shape is juxtaposed by its classic Intrecciato. Defined by its modern half-moon silhouette, the bag’s circularity is further accented by a smaller crescent-shaped pouch that sits on top of the bag’s main compartment.
Bottega’s take on the multi-bag, the Gemelli, allows for multiple ways of carrying. At first, that small compartment mentioned above looks like purely a stylistic detail, but it can also be used as a handle. When carrying via the crescent handle, the Gemelli’s tubular leather strap can either be kept on or detached, allowing the bag to shift into 3 different Women.
Crafted of lambskin Intrecciato leather and lined in calfskin, each compartment is secured with a zip closure. Dropping in 3 sizes, small ($3,400), medium ($4,100) and large ($4,900), special iterations of the Gemelli offer color-blocking with the compartments in contrasting colors.

I like that it shifts to 3 different looks … great concept. Looks best and most practical in the header image. Especially if you have items in the crescent pouch/handle part.
Unattractive take on their classic bag – so glad I invested in a repair with a new lining and edge braid on mine.

I love the conversion options and the overall shape harkens back to the BV of the 80s/90s designs like the Marco Polo bag. This is a beauty!
