You can’t talk about contemporary handbags without talking about Botkier. In 2003, Monica Botkier introduced the Trigger Bag, which became incredibly popular on both the strength of its rock-n-roll-luxury design and its accessible, mid-three-figures price tag. Over the next decade, the contemporary market exploded, and Botkier’s bags were carried by everyone from Rihanna to Angelina Jolie. For Fall 2014, the brand is debuting a newly expanded line, which looks to the future while playing on Botkier’s well-loved classics.
The Leroy satchel is the new season’s marquee bag, with clean details and a luxurious finish in embossed anaconda. If you’re a minimalist, the stark white version will do the trick, and the metallic version offers a more lush look. The collection also includes plenty of crossbodies and clutches in a range of colors; no matter what wardrobe need you’re looking to fill, Botkier has thought of it.

not bat at all… I love the Soho tote!
I think it’s a cute bag. I just worry that the zipper detail on the handles would snag on my clothing
It’s beautiful right?!

Balenciaga?
Looks like Michael Kors and Phlip Lim had babies. So boring. These contemporary brands try to reinvent the wheel and it just comes out contrived. Be daring, find some different inspiration than other successful design brands. Or just do what MK did and classically produce every silhouette.
