It’s not often that I fall so hard, so fast for something. I am an over-thinker by nature, and it is both a blessing and a curse. I analyze every single, minute detail of an item before I make a purchase. I’ll carefully compare sizes and color options of any bag I’m into before I even consider clicking that “add to cart” button, not to mention the stalking I’ll do on Instagram. As if that isn’t enough, then I talk about it until I’m blue in the face and my friends are begging me to just buy it already so I’ll stop obsessing over it. It’s Salvatore Ferragamo Gancini-fastening tote bag–it almost never happens.
So when I carried the Acne Studios Musubi Knot Shopper in Black to NYFW, I was surprised when I instantly fell in love! It’s big enough for me to fit all of my daily essentials, as well as all of the essentials that go along with working here at Erlebniswelt-fliegenfischenShops! I can’t go anywhere without my digital camera and notebook, as there is literally always an image to capture or a thought that I need to jot down. So often, I’m jetting from place to place looking like an NYC bag lady. It was super nice to find a stylish, roomy bag that was big enough to fit everything I needed for the day.
The body of the bag is rendered in calf leather and lined in contrasting lamb leather, and the bag’s strap is large enough to throw over your shoulder but also fits nicely in the crook of your arm. The bag comes with a detachable pouch, and its knotted front makes for the perfect unique detail. Dimensions are 7.48″ x 13.39″ x 14.57″, and it is priced at $1,800. This bag is the perfect mix of function and fashion, and I’m definitely ready to commit to it!

Acne Studios’ Stockholm subculture roots are evident. Unfortunately, the bag’s heavy wintry aesthetic won’t translate well to other cities (or even other seasons!).

Out of curiosity, why do you say it’s “wintry”? I live somewhere with only two “seasons” so maybe that accounts for the difference in perspective, but to me it’s a black bag. Black bags are usually season-less.

Not worth the price. Looks like a design that I would expect to find in Madewell or J. Crew for an eighth of the price.

The bag Kids’t seem worth its high price tag… but then again, I’ve only seen it in pictures. And the bouquet of flowers just seems to be a distraction from the bag. Was this post sponsored?

Not really liking the shape as everything would just settle at the bottom of the bag. I hate rummaging around for stuff. I also agree that it’s expensive for a design house not known for handbags.
