Lasse Karlsson

Lasse Karlsson is the epitome of cutting-edge knowledge, experience and teaching skills.
He is a well-known Casting Instructor and has over 20 years of experience in teaching fly- casting and fly-fishing around the Globe. He is an AAPGAI Master Trout Casting Instructor as well as holds the three instructor certificates within Fly Fishers International: Casting Instructor, Master Casting Instructor and Two-Handed Casting Instructor. Lasse was a member of the FFI's Casting Board of Governors for 10 years, where he was part of the team developing new instructor certification tests. As an FFI Level 3 Examiner Lasse is active in educating and examining new instructors around the world.
He is 4-time Danish Champion in Fly-casting and holds top rankings and victories in several international competitions. He was Team Captain for the Danish Fly-casting Team at last year’s World Championships in Fly-casting in Great Britain, where Team Denmark managed to get to Silver Medals home.
Lasse is a passionate pike and seatrout flyfisher and lives together with his 2 kids and wife Silja Longhurst in Copenhagen, Denmark. Together with his wife he manages the Scandinavian office of BalticFlyfisher. A family run business distributing Tim Rajeff’s ECHO Rods and Reels as well as OPST-Skagit products throughout Europe. They also run a Fly-casting School and a Guide-Service for both the avid coastal - and salmon flyfisher.
