Regulations
- Two flies must be submitted to compete in the Dry Fly category. One pattern (White Wulff) is required and the second can be a pattern of your choice (not realistic). Both flies must be submitted together in order to compete in this category.
- In Dry-Fly Category 1 (White Wulff), only Daiichi hooks in the designated size can be used. Flies not so tied will be disqualified.
- If you have difficulty obtaining the Daiichi hooks, please contact Jörg Schuft: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
- Fly tyers can compete in any or all categories, but only once in each category.
- Participants must submit, to the address below, each fly packaged separately. Included with each fly must be a detailed description of your fly-tying technique, materials used, and a filled-out application. If you submit more than one fly, they can, of course, be in a single container, but the flies should be packaged separately within it.
- You must be 17 or older to participate. Those younger are invited to participate in the Children’s Championship hosted by the EWF.
Jury and Evaluation of the Submitted Flies
The evaluation of the flies will take place at the EWF 2015. We are very pleased to present our jury members:
- Gary Borger - USA
- Roman Moser - Austria
- Nadica Stanceva - Macedonia
- Theo Atanassov - Bulgaria - Germany
Awards
After the evaluation, every participant will receive a promotional package of Daiichi hooks (receipt may take up to 8 weeks).
The three top participants in each category will receive a certificate, a medal, and a subscription to "Fisch & Fliege" magazine and they will appear in a German fly-fishing magazine.
